The following is general information regarding solar farms.

Interconnected systems or photovoltaic parks have as a key feature the fact that there is a physical connection to the electricity transmission network.

The relationship of an installed unit with the public electricity grid is two-way.
This means that it can absorb energy as well as dissipate energy to the grid.

Specifically, the possible cases that we may encounter with an interconnected photovoltaic system are the following:

Sale of energy to the electricity grid (Photovoltaic Park)

1. When an installation has the sole purpose of injecting energy into the grid. In these cases the goal is the maximum annual production of electricity and its sale to a supplier (consumer). Such units are also called PV stations, Photovoltaic parks, etc. Usually, photovoltaic parks are installed on plots of land, fields, plots, etc. The installed power is now usually 500kW or 100kW and the area they cover for 500m is from 7.5 acres and above, while for the 100kW installations even 3 acres are enough. Photovoltaic parks are usually installed by private individuals, farmers and other legal entities. In fact, for farmers there is also an additional subsidy for photovoltaic parks.

2. The power in these cases can be from a few KW to several MW and similar needs arise regarding the size of the PV plant. In Greece, the most common investment at these levels is that of 100KW (because it combines the advantages of the high KWh subsidy in proportion to the   cost  installation _cc781905-5cde-3194 bb3b-136bad5cf58d_and the easier licensing of the PV plant).
Recently, with RAE not accepting any more applications, many investors have also turned to 20KW photovoltaic stations where the licensing process is very simple and can even be completed immediately and quickly (You should come to an agreement directly with PPC).
